Installation Steps:

1. Download the appropriate Instant Client packages for your platform. All installations REQUIRE the Basic package.

2. Unzip the packages into a single directory such as "instantclient".

3. Set the library loading path in your environment to the directory in Step 2 ("instantclient"). On many UNIX platforms, LD_LIBRARY_PATH is the appropriate environment variable. On Windows, PATH should be used.

4. Start your application and enjoy.

安装完成后，在安装目录下创建目录network/admin,并把tnsnames.ora复制到admin目录。

安装plsqldev801.exe

运行plsqldev，提示NLS_LANG is not defined on the client,Character set conversion may cause unexpected results

结果真的中文乱码了。

解决方法：

1，修改注册表：如果OS版本为32位，则要修改：找到ORACLEKEY_OraClient11g_homexx，右键新建“字符串值(S)”项为“NLS_LANG”，值为“SIMPLIFIED CHINESE_CHINA.ZHS16GBK。（我没有用这个）;

2，设置系统环境变量NLS_LANG=SIMPLIFIED CHINESE_CHINA.ZHS16GBK
